Pictures of San Francisco

Finally, here they are. It's been a week, but better late than never. By the way, that picture of the price of gas was real. Very real. The first picture is of a movie theatre in Oakland. I didn't take too many pictures in Oakland.

A little behind

I admit it. I am more than a little behind. The whole travel fiasco has left me somewhat disoriented. I know, I plan to post some pictures of my San Francisco trip. I am still recovering. Plus there was the white affair last night. So, bear with me, if you please, and we'll get it together.

We're not afraid

The folks in London have launched a website to show the terrorists and the rest of the world, that they are not afraid. Check it out here.

Today's Sunrise

I acually saw the sun rise this morning. It was wild! It actually took a few minutes from start to finish, but it was just strange watching it do its thing. Perhaps tomorrow I'll set up the video camera and record it.

Anyway, here are the pictures.

Little Trip to San Francisco

I took a ride to San Francisco tonight, which was fairly easy. It took about 40 minutes to get to the Embarcadero, which is part of the Pier area. It is beautiful there, especially at night, and the view of the Oakland/San Francisco Bay Bridge is breathtaking. It wasn't quite so breathtaking to ride on, however, as it is so very high up above the bay. These are some of the pictures I took. The others didn't come out too well, as I haven't figured out how to turn off the flash on my camera yet.

Lunch time shots

It's hot as all get out so I only snapped a few pictures. They are just mundane; a shot of the train coming, going, a street corner and a mountain range. Nothing spectacular yet.

California Sunrise

I woke up this morning to a spectacular and breathtaking view. It was the sight of the sun rising. It was a deep reddish orange color coming up over the mountains behind my hotel room. Interstate 880 (I believe) was in the background. I don't believe I had ever seen anything like this before. I wanted to take a picture of it, but I wasn't sure if it was a good idea to do so.. But I'll try it tomorrow, if I get up at the same time.

Travel log - Walnut Creek, CA

I should have some pictures of Walnut Creek starting tomorrow. (keeping fingers crossed.)
